What is a Tag Sale?

The concept isn’t new and in fact is based on a village-wide sale our chief organizer and his wife stumbled onto while antiquing in New England. Most of the sales have at most a couple of dozen participants but they thought with all the Fall yard sales held each year why not get the whole community involved for one big sale.

It all started back in 2003 with a simple idea to register as many sales as possible to include offering booth space for those needing a place to sell their “overstocked” treasures. That first year there was a tremendous response with nearly a hundred participants and the number grows each year. The money raised through registrations and our sponsors goes to getting the word out in print ads, on cable television, on this website and more.

We invite everyone to get the word out and participate either by hosting a sale, renting a booth or coming out to browse and buy. Enjoy the Sale!
